He holds a Doctorate in Criminal Justice with a specialization in Instruction from Saint Leo University, an MBA, and a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice. J.R. brings a rare blend of academic rigor and real‑world operational expertise to every arena he steps into.
With more than a decade of law enforcement experience—from patrol and detective assignments to tactical units, undercover narcotics, and Emergency Response Team (ERT) operations—J.R. has a proven record of performance under pressure. Outside the badge, he is a professional MMA fighter, a Brazilian Jiu‑Jitsu and Karate black belt, a 7× Master‑level competition shooter, and the host of Circle C Outdoors, where he shares his passion for fieldcraft, hunting, and the outdoors.
